Honolulu Habitat for Humanity

What better way to help the community than to use our skills as carpenters!  Honolulu Habitat for Humanity provides real world opportunity for Honolulu Community College carpentry students to practice their skills along with experiencing a complete home build–from foundation to finish trim.  Honolulu Habitat for Humanity has been gracious enough to save spots for our volunteers each week, so don’t miss out!

What:  Honolulu Habitat for Humanity Kaniho Build

Where:  Papakolea (Punchbowl area), Honolulu (text April for address)

When:  Every Saturday (and some Fridays), 8:30am to 4pm

Lunch:  Provided

Sign-up:  Required, deadline is the Thursday prior to the Saturday you want to volunteer, text April (808) 398-7451 or email basic@learncarpentry.org


Required to bring / wear

  • Covered shoes
  • Shirt with sleeves
  • Shorts or pants

Recommended (they have these on the job site, but we recommend bringing your own)

  • Tools (varies depending upon the day’s tasks)
  • PPE (Hard hat, Safety glasses)
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen (if working on exterior)
